Celebrating Our Intercultural Community

Founded by Swedish immigrants in 1891, ÄûÃʵ¼º½ began by serving the needs of a single community. Today, our mission has grown to reflect and celebrate a vibrant, intercultural student body, including our designation as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI). We are proud to be a place where students from all backgrounds feel welcome, seen, and supported.

Office of Intercultural Student Affairs

The Office of Intercultural Student Affairs (OISA) fosters a welcoming, inclusive campus where students of all backgrounds feel a sense of belonging. Through cultural clubs, student advocacy, and success programming, OISA helps students grow as leaders and pursue lives of significance and service. Get involved

With 10 active cultural student groups, students find community and connection while celebrating their heritage. A few of our most active groups include the Black Student Union (BSU), East Asian Student Association (EASA), and Latin American Student Organization (LASO).

Our HSI commitment

In 2020, North Park gained recognition as one of about 500 Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), a federal designation given to colleges and universities with a 25% Hispanic/Latinx student population, with a significant portion from underresourced backgrounds.
