As a faculty or staff member at ÄûÃʵ¼º½ (NPU), you play a key role in the study abroad process, whether you’re guiding a student through their study abroad journey or helping develop new programs for your department. Your support helps make international education a reality for our students.
Study abroad program offerings
Log into with your NPU username and password to explore . Via TRM is a study abroad platform that houses our applications, brochures, and pre-departure forms.
Study abroad information sessions and class drop-ins
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) hosts Study Abroad 101, which reviews programs and the application process, and Study Abroad 102, which reviews the study abroad costs and scholarship information. Encourage your students to attend these sessions, and email international@northpark.edu with any questions.
Occasionally, OIA hosts campus visits from other institutions. We will contact faculty to see if you are interested in a class drop-in. Reach out to OIA to learn about upcoming campus visits.
Faculty advisors
As a faculty advisor, you may need to complete recommendation forms or letters for your students. Please complete these forms thoroughly. More details on the forms and application process can be found .
Students may take various courses abroad depending on their program, and the Office of International Affairs will assist them in finding courses that meet NPU degree requirements. It’s important to guide students on which courses they should or shouldn’t take abroad, especially electives or general courses.
To ensure transfer credit, students must complete a . It’s the student’s responsibility to have you sign the form, though they may need your assistance getting departmental approval if the course is for major or minor credit. For questions, email international@northpark.edu.
Lead a study tour
Interested in leading a new short-term academic study tour? Review the and contact the Office of International Affairs to get started. Please note, new programs must be proposed at least one year in advance, and applications for upcoming academic year tours (fall–summer) are due by May 1.
